In this guide, we'll show you how to set up your email addresses on Gmail. The latter only offers the configuration of accounts in POP (What is the difference between the IMAP and POP?).
Here are the instructions to follow:
- Go to your Gmail account and click on the Settings icon.
- Click See All settings > Accounts and Import.
- Click "Add a mail account" in "Check mail from other accounts :".
- A new window will appear, you must fill in the following information of your email account:
- Email address : enter you full email address and click "Next".
- Select "Import emails from my other account (POP3)" and click "Next".
- Fill in the POP server information as follows then click on "Add Account":
Username : your full email address
Password : your email address password
POP Server : mail.domain.com
Port : 995 (Tick "Always use a secure connection (SSL) when retrieving mail.")
( You must replace domain.com by your own domain name) - Once the POP account has been added, select "Yes, I want to be able to send mail as demo@domain.com" then click "Next".
- Enter your name to assign to the address demo@domain.com
- Fill in the SMTP server information as follows then click on "Add Account":
SMTP Server : mail.domain.com
Port : 587
Username : your full email address
Password : your email address password
Select "Secured Connection using TLS (recommended)"
( You must replace domain.com by your own domain name) - You must confirm the addition of the email account by entering the confirmation code received on your email address
- Email address : enter you full email address and click "Next".
- Once validated, your email account will be visible on the Gmail settings page in the section "Accounts and Import".
